New Session Evaluation Tool

The Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA) and MeetingMetrics have announced the availability of a new online session evaluation survey as part of the online meeting results measurement system. The new On-site Session Evaluation Tool enables meeting professionals to automate and streamline their on-site session evaluation feedback.

"This new MeetingMetrics software is extremely useful on so many levels," says Deborah Sexton, PCMA president and CEO. "Meeting professionals will be freed from distributing paper-based surveys, receive immediate attendee feedback, and make their meetings more environmentally friendly by substantially reducing paper waste."

The new On-site Session Evaluation Tool is paperless, convenient, and time-saving for attendees. The automated, online survey will reduce meeting costs and does not require any additional hardware. Attendees can use their own PDAs, laptops, or any Internet-connected computers to complete brief evaluation questionnaires online. Feedback on multiple breakout sessions can be entered by attendees in a single online session.

The questionnaire collects attendee feedback on each session and transmits the data to the MeetingMetrics Online Report Center (ORC), making it available to meeting professionals in real time. Reports can be printed, saved, or sent by e-mail directly from the system and can also be copied to Excel, Word, or PowerPoint. "One-click" reports, custom reports, individual session scores, aggregated summary reports, and participant comments are all available, as well.

Because the data is collected completely online, use of the On-Site Session Evaluation Tool at a large, multi-session meeting can save thousands of sheets of paper, contributing substantially to a "greener" meeting.

For meeting professionals who are already using MeetingMetrics for pre- and post-meeting surveys and reports, the new session evaluation survey can easily be integrated into their existing survey packages. Those who have not yet worked with MeetingMetrics can use the On-Site Session Evaluation Tool as a stand-alone online alternative to paper evaluation questionnaires. In addition to the on-site session evaluation tool, a new "Open" class of surveys has been added to MeetingMetrics. Licensees can now build non-meeting-related, custom surveys in the system for any purpose, including: Membership surveys, exhibitor surveys, employee surveys, and customer surveys.

Open class surveys can be substituted for an existing meeting survey by a user, or purchased as a new survey in the system.
