The new spa at the Topnotch Resort and Spa in Stowe, Vt., gets most of the attention, but recent reinvestments in the property also included a makeover of the resort's meeting space. Completed in June, the renovations included new carpeting, window treatments, lighting and artwork in all meeting rooms.Resort officials said the intent was to brighten those meeting rooms on the ground floor — some of which are half below ground level — as well as replace the previous rustic decor with a more contemporary flavor that still captures the essence of the resort's mountain setting.The Topnotch Conference Center includes 14,500 square feet of flexible meeting space, including six breakout rooms, suitable for gatherings of up to 450 attendees. The resort also recently added high-speed wireless Internet access in all public areas and guestrooms.In January, Topnotch unveiled its new 35,000-square-foot spa, both sleek and serene with decor that emphasizes the use of fine woods, stone and glass. Added to a previous spa facility were 14 new treatment rooms, larger lounges and locker rooms, and a full-service salon.
