Nokia Takes Over

Nokia's IdeasCamp didn’t just take over a few rooms at the Chaminade Resort & Spa, an IACC-approved conference center in Santa Cruz, CA, it took over the entire resort.

"Our unconference had a lot of movement, a lot of activity, a lot of fun and funky stuff to help drive creativity and idea sharing,” says Claudia Stephens, Nokia’s North American events manager. “We needed a facility that didn’t have a lot of other people coming in and out of the picture. We really liked the intimacy of Chaminade as we could take over the place and make it our own."

Here is a "LipDub video" — which combines lip synching and audio dubbing to create a music video — that was created during IdeasCamp. It features Queen's " Find Me Somebody to Love." As the video was being made, the song blasted through the resort, another benefit to taking over a property (not to mention the chair races down the corridors or the varied objects and attendees rolling down a hill during "Slope Antics").
