How to Attract Sponsors for Virtual Events

While our meetings may be taking place online, they still offer many unique revenue-generating opportunities.

Restrictions on face-to-face gatherings have led to a surge in virtual meetings. But while webcasts and digital networking sessions have proven popular, they have many planners concerned about the lack of revenue they are bringing in. Not all of the same engaging sponsorship opportunities associated with live events are available in the digital realm, but there are still plenty of creative ways to incorporate sponsor branding, exposure, messaging and complete virtual sponsorship packages for your digital events.

The first is Keri Mcintosh (left), senior vice president of events for The Castle Group, a full-service event management and PR firm based in Boston. Keri has been working with clients who had to move their events online to develop creative sponsor programs. We'll also hear insights from Beth Surmont (right), director of experience design for 360 Live Media. She recently presented at a live Northstar Meetings Group webcast, "Boosting Audience Engagement at Virtual Meetings," and took a few minutes to speak specifically about event virtual sponsorships.
