In celebration of St. Patrick's Day on March 17, Salt, the award-winning restaurant at The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island in Amelia Island, Fla., is offering two new drinks.
"Given our passion for adding creativity in everything we prepare, we thought it was fitting to create two new drinks for St. Patrick's Day," said Chef de Cuisine Rick Laughlin.
Can't make it to Salt? Toast the Irish yourself with the following recipes, courtesy of The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island:
Four Leaf Clover
• 2 oz. Jameson Irish Whiskey
• 2 oz. Sweet and Sour mix
• 2 oz. orange juice
• Splash of green Crème de Menthe
Combine Irish Whiskey, sweet and sour mix, and orange juice in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake and strain into martini glass. Sink Crème de Menthe to bottom of glass.
Touch of the Irish
• 1 oz. Plymouth Gin
• 2 oz. Midori
• 1/2 lime, muddled
• 7 mint leaves, muddled
• Club soda
Combine Plymouth Gin, Midori, muddled lime and mint leaves in a cocktail shaker. Shake and strain into a tall cocktail glass with ice and top with club soda.
