Bon Voyage!

Get Town To It

The European Federation of Conference Towns is dedicated to serving as a resource for meetings professionals and is designed to put planners in touch with 90 destinations in 30 countries. If you are unsure of where in Europe your group should meet, the site provides specific ways to narrow down the search: by city/region, by country, or based on your unique requirements for room-block size, capacity for the largest meeting room you need (theater style), and exhibition space required (in square meters). EFCT also provides continuing education opportunities and a calendar of large industry events.

Centralized Information

Intended in part to drive traffic to, as well as encourage increased business and leisure travel to Austria, the Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Slovakia, and Poland, the Central European Countries Travel Association provides a wealth of information on the area. Links to everything from national tourist offices to ski operators to castles to car hires are intended to help you plan every detail of a trip to central Europe. CECTA is also an event partner for the Business Golf Forum, which held its second annual event in Prague in 2005.

The Never-Ending Journey

The European Travel Commission, which also maintains for consumers, is made up of the members of the National Tourism Organizations of Europe. The Ukraine was welcomed in October as the 34th member of the ETC. The ETC organization strives to promote the whole of Europe as a destination and offers information on industry trends, research, and statistics in addition to contact information for member countries and links to additional resources. A new Internet portal is planned for release in early 2006 to market Europe under the chosen slogan "the never-ending journey."
