Planners Forecast Tighter Budgets in Slowing Economy

Nearly two thirds of planners expect tightened event budgets in the event of a stalling economy later in the year, according to results of the latest poll. Thirty five percent said that some events would probably be cancelled and budgets for the others trimmed, while 30 percent said that no events would be cancelled, but budgets would be trimmed.

Another thirty-five percent of respondents said no change would take place when asked what it would mean for their meetings and events for the second half of the year if the stock market and economy stall in the next few months.
