The events industry unites to promote the first-ever National Meetings Week, June 18-22. The focus will be on the value of the conference industry to the United Kingdom's economy.
The initiative, representing the industry's major trade associations, will also highlight the effectiveness of live events and other meetings as a serious business communications medium.
National Meetings Week will take place alongside The Meetings & Incentive Travel Show, June 20 and 21, at London's newest and largest meetings venue, ExCel. In addition to the 60,000-strong trade associations, the British Tourist Authority, the local government, and hotel groups will be helping to raise the profile of the events business.
