Virtual events provider Unisfair acquired 20 new customers in the first half of 2010, achieving 60 percent growth that it attributes to the maturation of the virtual events marketplace, it announced this week.
In support of its growth, the company — whose newest customers include EMC, Genentech, Q-Center and Tourism Fiji, among others — also released this week the results of its first annual Unisfair Marketing Survey, which revealed that 68 percent of B2B marketers consider lead generation to be their top marketing priority, and that 40 percent count virtual events among the top emerging channels for lead generation in 2010 and beyond.
"Unisfair's growth is a reflection of our focus on customers' objectives and user experience," Unisfair CEO Hoang Vuong said in a statement. "Attendees expect engaging and easy-to-use virtual environments, and our clients want to connect with more customers using a platform that they can configure on their own."
Unisfair's virtual engagement platform — which was rated highest in its space by Forrester Research in its February 2010 report, "Market Overview: Virtual Event Platforms for B2B Marketers" — offers live conference sessions, an exhibition floor and professional networking, all via the Internet and without requiring software, avatars or keyboard commands.
