WorldTravel Adopts StarCite Meetings Technology, Drops Plan2Attend

Chicago -- WorldTravel Meetings & Incentives (WTMI), the meetings-management arm of corporate travel agency giant WorldTravel BTI, has adopted the meetings technology of StarCite, the company announced yesterday.

In conjunction with the partnership, terms of which were undisclosed, WTMI said it plans to discontinue its proprietary Plan2Attend software.

WTMI will deploy StarCite's web-enabled, meetings procurement and attendee management software to its planners who are working on client meetings as well as distribute the technology to customers for use by their own planners.

"The combination of our respective organizations' resources and expertise will improve our overall service offering and provide better global reach for our clients around the world," said WTMI president Scott Graf.

The partnership with WTMI represents another feather in the cap of StarCite. The Philadelphia-based company also maintains partnerships with major third-party planners such as HelmsBriscoe, Maritz Travel Company, and American Express Business Travel.
