StarCite Receives Innovation Award From Cisco

Meetings technology company StarCite has received the 2011 Innovation Award from Cisco, it announced last week.

The award recognizes StarCite for "implementing and delivering high-value solutions to Cisco through innovative processes, technology and services." In particular, it honors StarCite's open architecture technology, which Cisco says allows it to plan and manage meetings globally across its enterprise while improving its management of meetings spend and operational excellence.

"StarCite's technology, open architecture and innovative solution-building have benefited Cisco," said Rob Falivene, Chief Procurement Officer, Global Procurement Services, at Cisco. "We look forward to their ongoing innovation in support of our event management business framework."

The 2011 Innovation Award was presented to StarCite during Cisco's Supplier Days, held Oct. 27 at its headquarters in San Jose, Calif. According to StarCite, the Supplier Day Awards "mark the importance of supplier relations as part of Cisco's strategy."

Said StarCite President and CEO Greg Dukat, "We are thrilled to be recognized by an unrivaled technology innovator like Cisco for our work enabling their world-class strategic meetings management program."
