StarCite Integrates with Amadeus to Provide Meetings Management Services

StarCite, a Philadelphia-based provider of meetings management software and services, has announced a partnership with Miami-based Amadeus, which offers booking tools and technology for the travel and tourism industry.

Under the new partnership, StarCite will integrate its corporate enterprise meetings management platform with Amadeus' Amadeus e-Travel Management solution. The result: a comprehensive travel management application with which corporations can manage all aspects of event planning and meeting execution, including travel.

"Meetings represent a major area of spend for corporate travel," Ray Pawley, vice president of eCommerce for Amadeus North America, said in a statement. "We're pleased to help corporations further their travel management programs and gain new control by providing event planners and meeting attendees with a fast and simple way to book travel during the meeting registration process."

With StarCite's existing platform, companies can already electronically manage and report on all aspects of the meeting planning process, including meeting requests and approvals, sourcing for meeting destinations, budgeting and attendance. By integrating with Amadeus, StarCite will now be able to assist them in facilitating travel arrangements, as meeting attendees using its attendee management solution will now be able to book travel directly on Amadeus e-Travel Management from inside the application.
