Meetings technology company StarCite has forged a partnership with InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) that will afford both companies unique business opportunities, it announced last week.
Under the terms of the partnership, IHG's Holiday Inn, InterContinental and Crowne Plaza brand hotels will have high visibility on StarCite's online meetings marketplace. In exchange, StarCite's electronic RFPs will populate directly into IHG hotels' lead distribution systems, facilitating an expedited sales response back to StarCite's corporate travel customers.
"IHG is the world's largest hotel company, with over 650,000 guest rooms across 100 countries," said David O'Donohoe, StarCite's senior vice president of global
supplier sales and operations. "Our services will enable the IHG brands to differentiate themselves in the StarCite Supplier Marketplace. In addition, this agreement will allow IHG properties to directly route StarCite leads into their sales and catering system, ensuring a level of quality and responsiveness."
