Meeting planners who organize webcasts and webinars have a new tool for archiving them, according to webinar-technology company ON24, which last week released a new video portal that it describes as "YouTube" for webinars.

Called the Webcast Elite Video Portal, the tool -- part of the company's Webcast Elite Marketing Edition, a software bundle that assists with the production and promotion of webinar content -- allows organizations to repurpose, publish, and syndicate their webinar assets by creating an on-demand click-and-play webinar library.

"With the Webcast Elite Video Portal, our customers can extend the life of their webinars by distributing them in an easily accessible format," ON24 Chief Product Officer and CTO Jayesh Sahasi said in a statement. "This is a compelling user interface, with one-time registration, metrics, and search and social media capabilities."

Customers' webcast portals work just like popular Internet video sites, with one-click publishing, mobile-ready access, custom styling, direct-to-content links to launch videos, and the ability to customize video thumbnails.

"ON24 is truly leading the way when it comes to helping customers leverage the power of video," Sahasi continued. "This newest enhancement is part of our ongoing commitment to giving customers the largest selection of easy-to-use content-viewing tools. With the video portal, viewers will want to keep exploring, enabling our customers to drive ROI by extending the life and value of archived content."
