Destination Marketing Association International (DMAI) has launched a new version of empowerMINT.com, a website that enables meeting planners to search and compare destination profiles, including hotels, convention facilities and DMO services, it announced yesterday.
The new, more streamlined version of the website includes several new features, including QuickRequest, which allows meeting planners to quickly upload documents such as RFPs while posing questions to multiple DMOs, and a customized Google map for every available destination so that planners can see meeting venues' size, location, and proximity to convention venues and airports.
"DMOs/CVBs are a great, free resource to help planners more easily find the right fit for any size meeting," said empowerMINT.com Managing Director Christine Shimasaki. "The goal of empowerMINT.com is to make it easier for meeting professionals to connect with experts in destinations under consideration and take advantage of a wide range of DMO services, including arranging site inspections, checking hotel and meeting space availability, and linking planners to expert local service providers."
Due to an aggressive marketing campaign, the number of unique visitors to empowerMINT.com has increased 67 percent in the last year; the number of page views, meanwhile, is up 60 percent. For more information, visit www.empowerMINT.com.
