Meetings management technology company Cvent has completed an expansion of its headquarters in McLean, Va., and plans to hire 190 new employees this year to fill it, it recently announced.
According to Cvent, which employs more than 800 people worldwide, 100 of its new hires will be based in McLean, where the new office expansion totals 24,300 square feet, bringing the company's headquarters total to nearly 55,000 square feet.
"I am thrilled that Cvent is expanding and adding new office space and workers in McLean," said Sen. Mark Warner (D-Va.), who co-hosted an April 1 ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate Cvent's expansion. "Cvent is a great example of a homegrown company that is driving job creation in Virginia through hard work and innovation. Businesses like Cvent continue to prove that Virginia is a business-friendly state and a world-class technology hub."
In February, Cvent reported that it had experienced 50 percent year-over-year revenue growth in the fourth quarter of 2010, making last year the most successful year in the company's 11-year history. For 2010, overall, Cvent reported 41 percent revenue growth, added 200 net new employees and acquired more than 3,000 new customers globally.
"The past few years have been very exciting for Cvent, as we've truly grown into a leader in the event management and web survey software markets," said Cvent founder and CEO Reggie Aggarwal.
As of the beginning of April, Cvent had more than 30 positions open across all departments. For more information, visit www.cvent.com.
