Cvent Makes Over 100 Improvements to Its Meetings Technology Products

In response to feedback from meeting planners and venues, meetings technology company Cvent has made more than 100 new enhancements across its product suite, including the Cvent Supplier Network, as well as its web survey, event management, strategic meetings management and e-marketing offerings, it announced yesterday.

According to the company, the new enhancements are expected to improve the user experience for both event planners and venues by offering "more robust, easier to use technology."

Among the enhancements:

Cvent Supplier Network: Planners and suppliers now have mobile access to the Cvent Supplier Network, according to Cvent, which said planners can now review and manage RFPs from their mobile devices while suppliers can view and act on group business leads, "leading to faster response times and improved client satisfaction."

Web Survey: Hotels can now integrate Cvent's web surveys with TripAdvisor, allowing post-stay survey data collected through Cvent's platform to be published automatically to TripAdvisor. According to Cvent, this "greatly increases the volume and depth of feedback, and stands to drive the total number of positive reviews upward."

Event Management: Cvent has added a resource management feature to its Event Management tool. The new feature helps planners manage schedules for people, places and things, allowing them to easily track and schedule resources like speakers, meeting rooms, collateral and audio/visual equipment.

Strategic Meetings Management: Organizations can optimize the use of internal meeting facilities and drive down meeting costs by adding their own event space into their strategic sourcing environment in Cvent. Additionally, there are new configuration options that can alert procurement professionals when planners are not compliant with established sourcing policies.

"We take feedback from the planner and supplier communities very seriously and constantly update our platform accordingly," said Cvent Chief Technology Officer Dave Quattrone. "Technology needs to evolve at a very fast pace to keep up with the demands of the market and we are committed to continuous innovation and providing best-in-class solutions to our users."
