Event technology company Cvent has unveiled a new user interface for its cloud-based event management platform, it announced last week.
The new user interface - which the company is calling "the Blue Release" - provides streamlined navigation and an enhanced workflow for building and managing events. New features include drag-and-drop editing, interactive charts and live updating. The Blue Release also runs faster, according to the company, and has more visual appeal.
"Cvent has become the event management technology leader by listening to planners' needs," Brian Ludwig, Cvent's senior vice president of sales, said in a statement. "We have built a robust platform with deep and varied capabilities over the past 15 years. This platform facelift brings a new simplicity and elegance to the user interface while maintaining the same rich functionality. We've already received great feedback from clients who've tested the Blue Release, and we believe all Cvent clients will be very pleased with it."
Added Cvent Chief Technology Officer David Quattrone, "Having a cloud-based platform has made it very easy for us to roll out frequent planner-driven enhancements. Cvent's objective is to set the bar for event technology. The Blue Release has been a substantial development effort focused on advancing design and usability standards and marks an important milestone in the ongoing evolution of event technology. The bar has been raised."
The Blue Release will be available to all Cvent users in the third quarter of 2014.
