Despite the advent of cell phones, e-mail, and programs to expedite hotels’ response times to group business inquiries, the chief complaint of meeting planners about hotel sales is what it's long been: calls or e-mails are not responded to in a timely matter.
"I thought we were over that stuff," said David Scypinski, senior vice president of industry relations at Starwood Hotels.
