QuickMobile to Release Part Two of Mobile Event App Study at IMEX America

In partnership with the IMEX Group and the Corporate Event Marketing Association (CEMA), meetings app developer QuickMobile will present part two of a new annual research study at this year's IMEX America trade show, taking place Oct. 14-16 in Las Vegas, it announced last week.

Launched early this year, QuickMobile's study seeks to identify the perceptions, uses, challenges, and opportunities of mobile event apps. Released in May at IMEX in Frankfurt, part one of the study focused on mobile app usage and adoption. Part two will focus on budgeting, app functionality and the role of apps in planners' overall meetings strategy. Specifically, it will discuss:

• Penetration of mobile event apps
• Functional requirements of mobile event apps
• Integrations of third-party solutions, such as registration systems, e-commerce, and business intelligence
• Social networking
• Analytics and ROI

"The insights from the first study announced in May provided the industry's first broad understanding of the trends and uses of mobile event apps," CEMA Executive Director Kim Gishler said in a statement. "We will use this next round of surveys to reach even more industry professionals and strengthen our initial benchmarks. It's clear from the first survey that mobile event apps are having a positive impact on meetings and conferences. New innovations in mobile and app technologies will likely do even more to improve the event experience."

Adds Patrick Payne, CEO of QuickMobile, "In our first round of surveys we learned that there is tremendous room for growth as the majority of respondents do not include mobile event apps in their budgets. This second round will help to deepen our understanding from earlier this year."
