Las Vegas -- The Harrah College of Hotel Administration at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, will begin presenting on Wednesday online courses covering a wide range of hospitality topics, including event planning.
The first course is on event marketing, with subsequent meeting-planning courses on evaluating the effectiveness of events, starting a meeting-planning business, hiring entertainment for events, and requests for proposals.
Faculty from Harrah and other hotel colleges as well as industry professionals will teach the hour-long webinars, which will be presented via WebEx.
The fee for each course is $119 per connection, regardless of how many people view the webinar from any single connection. Registrants can receive continuing education units for completed courses.
Revenues generated from the webinars will fund scholarships and trips to industry meetings for hospitality students, as well as research projects.
