UFI, the global association of the exhibition industry, has unveiled a new education center that serves as an online repository of knowledge about meetings, conventions and trade shows, it announced last month.
Known as the UFI Education Center, the center consists of several different sections that provide click-through access to exhibition-related courses, presentations and networking opportunities. In the "Meetings" section, for instance, is a series of 20-minute videos featuring content from UFI conferences and speakers. In the "Library" section, meanwhile, is a collection of industry surveys, studies and links. And, finally, in the "Lounge" area is a social networking environment where registered users can communicate with one another for the purpose of sharing industry experiences.
"The UFI Education Center makes available knowledge and expertise in an original online environment," said UFI Managing Director Paul Woodward. "For a long time we have felt that there was a huge amount of valuable content which UFI should be sharing with the exhibition community. This Education Center takes a giant step to making this knowledge easily accessible to all."
Although UFI will charge for some content after its initial rollout, there currently is no cost for accessing the UFI Education Center. For more information, or to register, visit www.ufi.org/edcentre.
