Based on the success of three such events in 2010, the Trade Show Exhibitors Association (TSEA) has announced that it will hold three more hosted buyer events in 2011, the first of which will take place April 20-22 in Chicago.
Part of TSEA's Face-to-Face Connections series, the event pairs qualified buyers with industry suppliers during private, pre-planned sales meetings. TSEA calls it "'speed networking' for the exhibit and event marketing industry."
"We're very pleased to announce the dates for all three of our 2011 events," said TSEA President and CEO Margit Weisgal. "The one in April will be followed by ones in September and December, giving both buyers and vendors multiple opportunities to interact and do business."
TSEA's inaugural Face-to-Face Connections took place Jan. 6-8, 2010, in Dallas. Each event features approximately 25 supplier companies and approximately 25 buyers. In accordance with the hosted buyer model, suppliers pay a flat fee in order to participate while buyers attend for free, receiving complimentary registration as well as complimentary travel expenses.
