Following the June 22 resignation of Executive Director and CEO Charles S. Sadler, the Society of Government Meeting Professionals (SGMP) has a new leader, it announced last week: Acting Executive Director Rob Bergeron, formerly SGMP deputy director.
According to unconfirmed industry reports, Sadler allegedly resigned over concerns of unethical behavior and has reportedly been banned from all future SGMP events, as well as from future SGMP membership.
CEO since 2008, Sadler previously worked on the supplier side for 25 years as director of sales for Hyatt, InterContinental and Starwood.
