Roomer, an online marketplace where consumers can sell their nonrefundable hotel rooms to buyers at a reduced price, is partnering with BOB.tv, an online video platform broadcasting industry-specific content to business professionals, it announced this week. Through the partnership, Roomer will promote its service on BOB.tv's event platform, Events.BOB.tv, presenting it to meeting and event planners as a cost-effective solution for attrition.
"As we continue to sustain and develop our presence within the meeting and event planning industry, we are pleased to announce our partnership with such an innovative online platform for business professionals around the globe," said Richie Karaburun, U.S. managing director of Roomer. "Clients of BOB.tv who are faced with unoccupied hotel rooms for future events will now be familiarized with an effective solution to avoid attrition."
Specifically, BOB.tv will feature a Roomer widget, as well as an informational Roomer video on its website.
"The innovation underway at Roomer is the solution that the meeting and event planning industry has been looking for to eliminate the challenge of room attrition," said Tony Lorenz, co-founder and CEO of bXb Group, BOB.tv's parent company. "At scale, a mashup of the B2B and B2C marketplace around hotel rooms is an idea whose time has come, and as we are big fans of ideas that create positive change, Roomer is amongst the core solutions that will change our marketplace for the better."
