Personal Success: Documents on Demand

Orginally published in Successful Meetings magazine, February 2007.

With the air travel phase of the Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative (WHTI) kicking in last month, more and more Americans will be getting a passport. When combined with airline tickets, a driver's license, a health insurance card, credit cards, and all of the other assorted documents that are necessary for travel now, it's a lot to keep track of. So passport holders and travel wallets are a smarter idea than ever, and there are options for everyone—from utilitarian to statement-making, inexpensive to costly.

Not a frequent flyer? Remember that the land and sea border-crossing portions of the WHTI will take effect soon as well, so chances are you'll find yourself with additional travel documents sooner or later. Plus, these make a great gift idea!
