Parts of 'Predict' Exhibition Industry Outlook Conference to Be Broadcast Online

The Center for Exhibition Industry Research (CEIR) has partnered with digital event marketing agency bXb Online to broadcast online for the first time two sessions from "CEIR Predict," its annual exhibition industry outlook conference, it announced last week.

Taking place Sept. 13 in New York, Predict is a by-invitation-only event — limited to C-level executives — that focuses on key economic indicators for the exhibition industry. Based on those indicators, the program includes sector-specific forecasts through 2014 with an emphasis on future operating strategies such as projected event growth, merger and acquisition strategies, and planned launches.

Attendance at last year's event — the first-ever Predict conference — was capped at 200 participants, including executives from exhibition and event management companies, merger and acquisition firms, private equity firms, debt providers, investment firms and the financial press. By making two "closed-door" sessions available online, it's hoped that the entire industry will benefit from the meeting's content.

The two sessions being broadcast online are The Outlook for M&A and Financing in the Exhibition Industry and Lessons Learned and Key Takeaways from the Day, which will be preceded by CEIR Predict 2012 Highlights and Onsite Interviews, a 30-minute session accessible only by online audience members.
