Its third annual PCMA Global Medical Meetings Summit will take place Nov. 13-16 in Edinburgh, Scotland, the Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA) announced yesterday. Launched in 2013, the invitation-only event is for senior medical meeting professionals and global medical association CEOs, who will convene to discuss challenges and opportunities specific to the business of international medical meetings.
"The PCMA Global Medical Meetings Summit brings together the global leaders who are innovators in the medical meetings industry; those that can critically analyze and openly discuss possible solutions to position medical organizations for success," said PCMA President and CEO Deborah Sexton. "Our participants are the brightest minds in this sector and well-schooled in daily challenges of traversing increased regulations and compliance."
Added Neil Brownlee, head of business events at VisitScotland, "The PCMA Global Medical Meetings Summit will represent the second occasion that Scotland has hosted such a prestigious gathering, following the inaugural PCMA Global Corporate Summit in 2012. Since then, Scotland has reinforced its position as a world-class host destination for meetings and events of all sizes. We look forward to not only showcasing the country and its credentials in the medical sphere, but also to providing an unparalleled backdrop to inspire these global leaders."
