The Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA) has announced its education lineup for the 2013 edition of the Americas Incentive, Business Travel & Meetings Exhibition (AIBTM), organizer Reed Travel Exhibitions (RTE) reported yesterday.

Part of a strategic partnership established between PCMA and RTE in 2010, PCMA’s education track will cater to corporate meeting planners, who will partake in three education sessions on AIBTM Education Day, taking place the first day of the three-day show.

The first session, “The Corporate Meeting Planner of the Future,” will help corporate meeting planners enhance their value as meeting professionals by learning to align business strategies with the meeting experience.

The second session, “Healthcare Convention Trends: What Medical Meeting Planners Need to Know,” will be presented in partnership with the Healthcare Convention and Exhibitors Association (HCEA), which will share key findings from its “State of the Industry” report.

The final session, “Conferences and Trade Shows on the Go,” will explore the future of mobile technology and its impact on meetings and events.

Simultaneously, PCMA will host an all-day “Executive Edge” workshop designed to help corporate meeting planners develop their business acumen.

AIBTM 2013 takes place June 11-13 in Chicago. To view the full education program, visit www.aibtm.com.
