PCMA Announces 2012 Board Candidates

The Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA) has selected the slate of candidates for its 2012 Board of Directors, it announced yesterday. Pending approval by PCMA members, board nominees will take office effective Jan. 11, 2012.


PCMA's 2012 slate of officers, serving one-year terms, includes:

• Chairman: Kent E. Allaway, CEM, CMP, Vice President, Meetings and Trade Shows, Produce Marketing Association
• Immediate Past Chairman: Susan R. Katz, Director of Corporate Events and Travel, True Value Company
• Chair-Elect: Johnnie C. White, CMP, Executive Director, Meetings and Educational Services, Cardiovascular Research Foundation
• Secretary-Treasurer: Christopher J. Wehking, CMP, Director of Meetings & Exhibits, American Society of Anesthesiologists

New nominees to PCMA's Board of Directors, serving three-year terms, include:

• Professional Director: Wanda M. Johnson, CMP, CAE, Senior Director, Meetings & Education, The Endocrine Society
• Professional Director: Roberta A. Kravitz, Executive Director, International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine
• Professional Director: Amanda S. Rushing, CMP, Director of Conferences & Meeting Services, American Society of Civil Engineers
• Supplier Partner Director: Gregory A. O’Dell, President & CEO, Washington Convention and Sports Authority
