Twenty-Two New Venues Receive IACC Certification

IACC announced yesterday that it has certified 22 new properties. The certification helps meeting planners easily identify hotels, conference centers, and other meeting venues that have achieved excellence in design, facilities, services, technology, and sustainability.

Its new members include Cliftons Canberra in Canberra, Australia, which boasts 20 meeting rooms for groups of up to 120 people; Exponor Conference Center (EC2) in Porto, Portugal, which has been completely renovated and will reopen in 2018 as a dedicated conference and training center; Fanhams Hall in Ware, United Kingdom, which is a Jacobean mansion that can host groups of up to 130 guests; Royal Berkshire (pictured) in Ascot, United Kingdom, which is an 18th-century country house that can accommodate groups of up to 200; and Saxons Training Centre in Perth, Australia, which can host groups of up to 150 in Perth's central business district.

Finally, there's Principal Hotel Co., a British collection of luxury lifestyle hotels. The company, which already had five IACC-certified properties in its collection, has added 17 more across the United Kingdom, including:

• Oxford Spires Hotel (Oxfordshire)
• The Principal Manchester (Manchester)
• The Principal Edinburgh (Edinburgh)
• The Principal York (York)
• The Roxburghe (Edinburgh)
• Grand Central Hotel (Glasgow)
• St. David's Hotel and & Spa (Cardiff)
