New Event Formed to Promote Face-to-Face Engagement

Two industry organizations, the Exhibit & Event Marketers Association (E2MA) and the Enterprise Engagement Alliance (EEA), have teamed up to launch a new event promoting face-to-face engagement as a business strategy, they announced this month. Taking place April 25-28 at the Renaissance Orlando at SeaWorld (pictured), the "Engagement World" conference and expo will encompass four individual events:

The E2MA Red Diamond Congress (April 25-28), focusing on best practices in face-to-face marketing and communications;

Engagement University (April 26-27), highlighting key strategies and tactics related to ROI-based enterprise engagement plans;

The Engagement Expo (April 27-28), featuring exhibitors and presentations by leading engagement associations and solution providers; and

The Rewards and Recognition Expo (April 27-28), featuring leading suppliers and brands in the rewards and recognition business, as well as an interactive education program on trends and best practices.

"The growth of digital information and social media has only increased the need for face-to-face engagement," E2MA Executive Director Jim Wurm said in a statement. "We believe that the emerging field of engagement creates perhaps the biggest growth opportunity for the meetings and events business since the advent of commercial jet aircraft. When companies need to engage people, it almost always boils down to face-to-face experiences."

Attendees will be able to register for either E2MA's Red Diamond Congress or EEA's Engagement University. Registrants will be able to attend both events, as well as the accompanying expos.
