NBTA Launches New Meetings for Government, Sports Travel

Next year, the National Business Travel Association (NBTA) will expand its global suite of corporate travel and meetings events with at least two new conferences, it announced last week at the NBTA International Convention & Exposition in Houston.

The first event, called GovTravDC 2011, will take place June 1-2, 2011, in Washington, D.C. Created by NBTA's Government Travel Group, the two-day event will be geared toward employees of the federal government, who will be invited to "hear from and exchange ideas with" high-ranking government and corporate travel professionals.

The second event, the NBTA Sports Travel Conference, will take place July 12-13 in Indianapolis, where travel professionals working in athletics will convene to address challenges specific to their sector of the corporate travel industry.

"NBTA is expanding at an astounding rate, with interest in association involvement and industry education coming in from all over the world in all sectors of business travel," said NBTA President and CEO Craig Banikowski. "To further the industry and grow the NBTA brand, we've launched new events to address specific needs of targeted audiences who can benefit from the unparalleled education NBTA is known for."
