Michael Massari, senior vice president of national meetings and events at Caesars Entertainment, has been named treasurer of the U.S. Travel Association.

"It's quite exciting and an absolute honor," said Massari. "I just think the world of the organization and the work they are doing. Roger [Dow] and his team are great ambassadors. Their work over the last five to six years has been transformational for the industry."

Massari has served on the board for the U.S. Travel Association and on its executive committee for the past five years.

"It has been a real pleasure and to become a participating officer is thrilling," said Massari.

U.S. Travel officers are elected members of the board of directors who oversee the board's operations.

Massari is also a member of the Meeting Professionals International Board of Directors.

The U.S. Travel Association created the Meetings Mean Business Coalition in 2009 to showcase the momentous impact that business meetings, travel and events have on the U.S. economy. Since the coalition's inception, Caesars Entertainment has played an integral role in its organization and success. To further support the coalition, Caesars Entertainment's National Meetings and Events division renamed its collateral, including its advertising and website, to Caesars Means Business.
