Meister Meeting Services Introduces Attrition Mitigation Service

Because declining travel budgets and low meeting attendance are forcing many organizations to unexpectedly cancel or downsize their meetings, Meister Meeting Services, a Boca Raton, Fla.-based meetings procurement firm, has announced a new service to help meeting planners negotiate and mitigate hotel attrition and cancellation fees.

"With over 20 years of negotiating meeting contracts for our clients, we have developed proven processes, practices, formulas and measures to help mitigate contract damages before, during and after the event that have saved thousands of dollars in direct savings without expensive attorney or litigation fees," Meister Meeting Services President Dan Meister, CMP, said in a statement.

Meister's attrition mitigation services are available to outside clients, whether they booked their programs directly with their hotel or through another third party, and vary in cost thanks to fees that are based on a percentage of organizations' cost savings.

"We are not attorneys and do not provide legal advice," Meister cautioned, "but we do work with in-house counsel and have years of experience and proven results in successfully mitigating hotel contract damages."
