Management Acquires Wyndham Jade

Dallas -- The management of Wyndham Jade, a meeting-planning firm and provider of event registration and group housing services, has bought the company from The Lafayette Investment Fund.

The buy-out, for an undisclosed sum, was led by the company's chief executive, Sue Trizila, and Lucy Billingsley, who founded Wyndham Jade in 1983 and sold it to Lafayette in 2001.

"For us, as executive managers, to have this opportunity to invest in our employees and Wyndham Jade's continued growth made the decision to purchase the company an easy one," said Trizila in a statement last week announcing the sale.

In addition to Trizila, Wyndham Jade has kept its other senior executives in place, including chief operating officer Brian Walsh; Beverly Buehler, executive vice president of operations and incentives; and Kerry Wages, executive vice president of convention operations.

Wyndham Jade generates more than $150 million in annual revenue and employs about 150 people.
