Dallas-based Meeting Professionals International (MPI) has redesigned and re-launched its website to make it easier for its members to find, access and share content, it announced this month.
Launched on July 7, the new MPIWeb.org
has a "cutting-edge design," according to MPI, that's organized into "six primary educationally-focused navigation sections that place the latest and most informative content at your fingertips."
In addition to the six new navigation sections — the Business of Meetings, Effective Management, Career Development, Research and Tools, Technology, and Corporate Social Responsibility — the redesigned website includes a Member Community and secure "Personal Pages" designed to help MPI members network with other meeting professionals and personalize their website experience.
Another new feature, "Power Search," is billed as a "high-performance" search tool that will help meeting planners find the right answers to their questions.
Finally, the site incorporates several social media elements in an effort at making it more interactive. Users have the ability to rate and comment on content, for instance, to share video and audio files via social networks, and to recommend job opportunities or job candidates to their peers using the new MPI online community.
