Gearing up for their 2008 Professional Education Conference in Houston on February 2-5, Meeting Professionals International has announced enhancements to technology-driven learning including wikis, electronic archives and remote technology. The event wiki features a user-editable Web page for each educational session for attendees to post notes and collaborate on issues before and after the session. A new Game Design Lab has been designated to develop two "serious gamelets" focused on key meetings and events industry concepts. And "NetWeaving" functionality offers a "fresh perspective on networking," according to the association's Web site.The annual conference kicks off in February this year, opposed to the January date of previous events, and the trade show portion will start two days after commencing the event, instead of directly after the opening general session.
