MPI Names 2011-12 Board of Directors

Meeting Professionals International (MPI) has announced its 2011-2012 Board of Directors, which it seated last week for a fiscal year term beginning July 1, 2011, and ending June 30, 2012.


Serving as MPI's new board chair is Sebastian Tondeur, CEO of MCI Group Holding. A member of the MPI Board of Directors between 2006 and 2008, Tondeur began service on the MPI executive committee in 2008 and was elected chairman-elect in 2010. As CEO of MCI’s head office in Geneva, his responsibilities include strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions, strategic meetings management, marketing and key account management.

Also announced last week were MPI's Volunteer Chairs and its MPI Foundation Global Board of Trustees. Leading the 2011-2012 MPI Foundation Global Board of Trustees is Kevin Olsen, senior partner of One Smooth Stone, an event and communication agency.
