MPI COO/CFO Resigns

Greg Lohrentz, chief operating officer/chief financial officer of Meeting Professionals International (MPI), has resigned his position effective Oct. 3, MPI announced this week on its World Education Congress (WEC) blog. Lohrentz has accepted an offer from his college alma mater, Kansas State University, to become the COO/CFO of the Kansas State University Foundation in Manhattan, Kan.

"Greg has made significant contributions during his five-plus years at MPI, first as CFO and most recently as COO, designing and implementing reporting structures and operating platforms that have been instrumental in weathering the economic downturn while enhancing value to members," reads MPI's blog post. "While we are saddened at his departure, we are very happy for Greg and his family, who will be relocating to Kansas before the end of the year."
