MPI Appoints New Chief Operating Officer

After a thorough search, Dallas-based Meeting Professionals International (MPI) has named Trey Feiler its new chief operating officer, it announced early this month. Formerly senior vice president of development for Jamba Juice Company, Feiler will report directly to MPI President and CEO Bruce MacMillan and will be in charge of several key MPI divisions, including Knowledge and Events, Marketing and Communications, and Member Care.

"Trey impressed us with his proven leadership skills," MacMillan said in a statement. "His diverse background in international business and his ability to analyze and define non-traditional business models will be extremely helpful as we identify growth opportunities for the MPI community."

Prior to working at Jamba Juice, Feiler held key positions in real estate, finance and development with Brinker International (Chili's, Macaroni Grill, On the Border and Maggiano's) and Yum! Brands (Taco Bell, KFC, Pizza Hut, Long John Silver's and A&W).

"MPI is at a pivotal point of its growth," Feiler said. "Globalization, and the necessity to connect across geography and cultures is essential for organizational success today. With such high growth in emerging economies like China and India, the chance to build and enhance the foundation of training, networking and professional growth for meeting professionals worldwide is a great opportunity and I am very excited to play a part."
