JetBlue Airways yesterday began to offer customers more convenience and flexibility with the launch of refundable fares available directly from the airline's website and all global distribution systems. "While the nonrefundable fares we offer are already very flexible, we recognize that there are some business and leisure travelers who need even greater flexibility when they fly," said Don Uselmann, manager of sales programs, in a company release. The low-cost carrier's Refundable Fares now allow customers to make unlimited reservation changes, including name changes, or opt for a full refund any time prior to the flight's departure. Changes can be made via the 'Manage Flights' function on the website or by calling the airline's reservations team at 800-JETBLUE.If a customer is unable to notify JetBlue of a change to their reservation before the flight departs, any unused funds are converted to a JetBlue credit valid for one year from the date it is issued. This credit is fee-free and fully transferable, according to the release. To celebrate the launch of its new fare option, through February 13 JetBlue is offering TrueBlue Customers who book refundable travel quadruple TrueBlue points each way when they book online, or triple TrueBlue points each way when booking through other channels.
