After more than 11 years as president and COO of the Atlantic City Convention & Visitors Authority, Jeffrey Vasser is leaving to become director general/CEO of the Caribbean Hotel & Tourism Association (CHTA). Vasser was named president of the ACCVA in April 2002 and has since overseen the day-to-day operation of the authority’s management/administration, convention sales, marketing, media relations, and tourism divisions, as well as its approximately 60 employees, the 14,000-seat Boardwalk Hall, and the 500,000-square-foot Atlantic City Convention Center.

“Jeff Vasser has served this destination well and accomplished many firsts for the Convention Center Division,” said Casino Reinvestment Development Authority Executive Director John Palmieri.  “We are sincerely thankful for Jeff’s commitment to Atlantic City over the past 11 years and we wish him well in his new professional endeavor.”

Effective November 18, Vasser will become the new director general/CEO of Miami, FL-based CHTA. The association, founded in 1962, represents 36 national hotel associations across the Caribbean region, over 600 hotel members with approximately 91,000 rooms, and more than 300 supplier companies.
