The 2012 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) — the world's largest consumer technology trade show, taking place Jan. 10-13 in Las Vegas — will feature more than 2,700 exhibitors across 1.8 million net square feet of exhibit space, according to the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA), which in the last several weeks has announced an exhibitor line-up that includes more than 1,500 companies from every corner of the United States, including the West, Midwest, East and South.
Western United States
More than 815 technology companies based in the Western region of the United States —Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington and Wyoming — will display their newest consumer electronics products at the 2012 International CES. Exhibitors will include OmniMount of Phoenix, which will introduce new mounts and stands for tech devices; IOGEAR of Foothill Ranch, Calif., which will introduce a wireless 3D media kit; 3D-Bee of Portland, Ore., which will showcase its 2D to 3D conversion technology; and Zipbuds of San Diego, which will debut the newest versions of its zip-up, tangle-resistant earphones.
Midwestern United States
More than 160 technology companies based in the Midwest region of the United States — Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota and Wisconsin — will display their latest consumer electronics products at the 2012 International CES. Exhibitors will include Other World Computing of Woodstock, Ill., which will introduce the world's first home-safe AC/USB wall outlet; the Electronics Technicians Association International (ETA) of Greencastle, Ind., which will launch several new certifications for electronics technicians; and MEDKEN of Chicago, which will introduce new radiology imaging technology for doctors.
Eastern United States
More than 330 technology companies based in the Northeast region of the United States — Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island and Vermont — will display their latest consumer electronics products at the 2012 International CES. Exhibitors will include Braggables of Brick, N.J., which will showcase its iBrag line of iPad cases; THAT Corp. of Milford, Mass., which will introduce new dbx-tv audio technology; Personal Communications Devices (PCD) of Hauppauge, N.Y., which will highlight several new smartphones; and Wi3 of Rochester, N.Y., which will introduce a new networking solution.
Southern United States
More than 250 technology companies based in the Southern region of the United States — Alabama, Arkansas, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington D.C. and West Virginia — will display their latest consumer electronics products at the 2012 International CES. Exhibitors will include GoldenEar Technology of Stevenson, Md., which will debut a new audio speaker; AikenLabs of Lenoir, N.C., which makes immersive motion accessories for video games; and Henge Docks of Arlington, Va., which will introduce new products in its line of iPad docking stations.
