IMEX Launches New Education Event for Corporate Meeting Planners

Based on its successful experience with association-specific programming, à la Association Day, the IMEX in Frankfurt trade show this year will launch a new education and networking event designed especially for corporate meeting planners and senior corporate executives, it announced last week.

Called “Exclusively Corporate @ IMEX,” the pre-show event will take place on Monday, May 20, beginning midday with a networking lunch, after which participants will engage in a mix of general sessions, open space discussions and case studies. So far, the event already has confirmed more than 50 meeting planner and executive attendees from corporations such as Amway, Estee Lauder, Johnson & Johnson and Merck & Co. After the Monday meeting, attendees will remain in Frankfurt for the IMEX trade show May 21-23.

“We know that the needs of corporate meeting executives are very different to those of other planners attending the show,” says IMEX Group CEO Carina Bauer. “This new program is designed to address their need for a private environment in which to learn from each other through case studies and open dialogue. The sessions are intended to be very interactive and provoke forward-thinking discussions with actionable strategies for them to take back to the office. The private and exclusive nature of the event makes it unique and will provide great added value to those buyers taking part.”
