IMEX, Europe's largest and most important meetings industry exhibition, has announced several speakers and workshops for Association Day 2010.
Taking place in Frankfurt next May 24, in conjunction with the next IMEX show—which is May 25-27—Association Day 2010 is designed as a day of intense education and networking exclusively for association executives, according to IMEX Marketing and Operations Director Carina Bauer.
"We welcome over 3,500 international suppliers from over 150 different countries to IMEX every year, creating a great opportunity for delegates to discover new destinations, products and services, and, of course, do business," she said in a statement. "Through Association Day we provide a forum for thought leadership specifically for association executives, where the latest industry news and ideas are communicated via a comprehensive program of presentations and seminars. Delegates also appreciate the opportunity to learn from and network with each other."
Leading the Association Day lineup of speakers will be International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA) CEO Martin Sirk, who will help association executives examine the critical factors involved in deciding where to hold international meetings.
Also speaking will be ASAE & The Center Chief Knowledge and Strategy Officer Greta Kotler, CAE, who will moderate a panel about global planning strategies featuring Chip Deale, head of global society relations for the CFA Institute, and Helga Severeyns, senior director of the International Association of Public Transport.
Meanwhile, Pol Van De Perre, association director of MCI Brussels, will lead a session on leveraging the long-term benefits of conference content using online tools.
Continued Bauer, "We have worked hard to ensure that the delegate experience at Association Day is as productive and enjoyable as possible."
