IAEE, LVCVA Announce Scholarships for Future Exhibition Industry Leaders

In an effort to further opportunities for future exhibition industry leaders, the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) will award two scholarships to graduates of the International Association of Exhibitions and Events (IAEE) Robert L. Krakoff Future Leaders Institute, it announced yesterday.

The scholarships will enable recipients to attend the Exhibition and Convention Executives Forum (ECEF) June 1-4 in Washington, D.C., by providing them with complimentary registration, as well as round-trip airfare and a two-night hotel stay.

"On behalf of the LVCVA, we are very excited to sponsor these scholarships, which will provide an opportunity for dedicated young professionals seeking to make a difference in the exhibitions and events industry," said IAEE Immediate Pst Chairman and Future Leaders Institute Graduate Chris Meyer. "More than 15 years ago, I made one of the best choices of my career by attending the Future Leaders Institute, and I still use much of what I learned as well as maintain the close network of business relationships I formed."

To be eligible for the new scholarships, applicants must be employed by an exhibition or event organizer, must have successfully graduated from the Future Leaders Institute, and must submit an essay detailing their ECEF learning objectives.

"This collective effort by IAEE, LVCVA and ECEF shows that together, we are committed to the excellence of the future leaders of the exhibitions and events industry," said IAEE President Steven Hacker. "This unprecedented opportunity will make a positive and valuable difference in the careers of those who choose to enhance their professional development by applying for these scholarships."
