The International Association of Exhibitions and Events (IAEE) has added three new categories to its membership offerings, it announced this week: Auxiliary Member, Corporate Event or Exhibit Marketer, and Educational Institution.
Auxiliary Members are individuals who have been IAEE members, but are no longer employed in the exhibitions and events industry. They are not entitled to vote or hold office, but may continue their involvement in the association.
Corporate Event or Exhibit Marketers are individuals or organizations that use or create experiential events to market programs, products, or services on behalf of clients.
Finally, Educational Institutions are schools, which may designate as members as many faculty and students as they wish.
"IAEE periodically reviews its membership categories to ensure it is serving current and potential members in the best way possible," 2014 Dues Task Force Chairperson Randy Bauler said in a statement. "Members of the Dues Task Force are confident these new categories will clarify and expand the benefits of IAEE membership."
