Consistent with its global restructuring, which led to the establishment of IACC Americas last year and IACC Australia in 1997, the International Association of Conference Centers (IACC) has established a new European chapter, called IACC Europe, it announced yesterday.
Consisting of IACC members in the Netherlands, Sweden, the United Kingdom, Spain, Germany and Belgium, the new chapter's mission is "to provide a European and global forum for discussion on non-competitive issues and to provide opportunities for global networking, inspiration and education to assist members in their business." It's goal, meanwhile, is to reach 200 members by 2015.
According to IACC Global President Neil Pompan, combining all European chapters of IACC under one umbrella increases the organization's credibility and exposure. "It also provides the foundation for increasing the value of membership to the facility members of the new chapter," he said. "IACC now has three strong geographic footholds and with it, the ability to promote the Total Meeting Experience around the world."
