David Peckinpaugh, former president of the San Diego Convention and Visitors Bureau, has joined HelmsBriscoe, a Scottsdale, Ariz.-based provider of site selection and RFP services for the meetings industry, as its vice president of business development, it announced last week.Peckinpaugh, whose contract with the San Diego CVB expires June 30, announced his resignation from the organization in March. In his new position he will be responsible for creating new programs, enhancing existing business channels—for the association sector in particular—and expanding HelmsBriscoe's CVB partnership programs."We are pleased to add such a seasoned and well respected executive to our HelmsBriscoe leadership team," HelmsBriscoe Founder and CEO Roger Helms said in a statement.
